RED WHITE AND BLUE IN ACTION FRANCE TEAM THE PARIS 2024 GAMES: WE'RE READY, ARE YOU ?
It all starts
with a meeting
In February 2022,Stephane Ashpool, , the Artistic Director of the French Olympic and Paralympic Team collections, met some of the athletes in Romilly-sur-Seine, in a historic factory. During this meeting, at Stéphane's request, our athletes were able to express what qualifying for the Paris 2024 Games means to them: pride, the importance of representing their flag, their country, France in all its diversity.
The symbol
of diversity

This is our Le Coq Sportif collection. From the fusion of blue, white and red comes a new flag that gives life to a new palette of colours, vibrant and modern, in 'gradience'. A symbol of diversity, this collection worn by French athletes celebrates the meeting of sports, bodies and cultures.

Paris, city of
Light
Stéphane ASHPOOL designed this collection not only for the French national team athletes, but also for Paris. This host city is so special to him, born and bred in Montmartre. Paris, the city of light, the capital of fashion and elegance, was a real source of inspiration for Stéphane. The collection has been conceived as a journey, where 'gradience' becomes more pronounced as competition and performance intensify.
Village outfits

In the heart of the village, the athlete, still a long way from the pitch, is predominantly dressed in ecru. A predominantly light colour on which a sinuous line of 'gradience' takes shape, tracing the athlete's path and reminding us that the road to victory is never perfectly straight. The outfits are made from unbleached cotton and polyester fleece for comfort and softness. This material is made using a '0% dye' strategy, as it is undyed and unbleached, and therefore takes on the natural colour of the fibre. It has been in development at Le Coq Sportif for two years, and is the result of a joint effort between our teams and our industrial partner, based in Aube, France.

Training outfits
The athletes' training outfits represent the vibrations of performance. They evoke the emotions of sport, and in particular the particularly strong and intense emotions of this historic Olympiad. The repetitive curves represent the intensity of the effort and the muscular vibrations, mingled with straight lines symbolising the clear direction taken by the athletes in this final stage before the competition. The outfits are made from synthetic materials to maximise breathability and elasticity during exercise.
Competition outfits
As they perform and shine in the eyes of the world, the athletes will proudly wear the colours of France on their shoulders. At the heart of the effort, 'gradience' is in its fullest expression. These unique outfits represent over two years' work for the Le Coq Sportif teams, who met with a total of 30 Federations to provide outfits for 63 disciplines in the field.
Outfits for the podium
Now that the competition and the effort are over, the 'gradience' comes in discreet touches and gives way to a dazzling ecru, purity and elegance being the order of the day to shine on the podium. The French flag stands behind the athlete at this moment of celebration. Inspired by the Le Coq Sportif archives, Stephane ASHPOOL has designed a real sports suit. The podium outfit is made from a special eye-catching material that, thanks to its slight sheen, will highlight the talent of our French medallists.
Loyal to our responsible industry
Gathering energies around the emotions and values of sport, Le Coq Sportif develops quality and local industrial know-how for innovative and responsible products that respect people and the planet. We design all our collections in Romilly-sur-Seine, the historic home of our brand since its inception. We design all our collections in Romilly-sur-Seine, the historic home of our brand since it was founded in 1882. This town in the Aube region lies at the heart of the Troyen textile basin, the centre of a unique French textile know-how: hosiery. Combined with the unrivalled quality of the materials and dyes used, this expertise guarantees the comfort, strength and durability of our products.
Production Philosophy Local
One word sums up our production philosophy: 'local'. We work closely with our partners, guaranteeing local sourcing for both dyeing and knitting. This is of course the case near Romilly-sur-Seine, where we are associated with one of the last in Europe, located just ten kilometres from our factory.
And because people are at the heart of our project, we're proud of our 363 employees, the 758 indirect jobs we're creating with our 14 industrial partners in France and the fact that we've doubled the number of people working for us at our partner site in Morocco.
